NCAAF Matchups
College football matchup analysis across FBS. Roster turnover and pace vary far more than in the NFL, so opponent-adjusted numbers matter more here than raw season averages.

How NCAAF betting markets price matchups
College football is the widest market covered here, and it is wide for structural reasons. With more than 130 FBS teams, books cannot price every game with the same care they give an NFL slate, and they hang lower limits to protect themselves. Lower limits mean less sharp money is needed to move a number, which is exactly why prices differ more between books here than in any other sport on this site.
Team quality varies enormously - a top-five program and a bottom-tier one are far further apart than the best and worst NFL teams - which produces very large spreads where small percentage errors translate into multiple points. Roster turnover between seasons is also far higher, so early-season prices lean on prior-year data that may describe a team that no longer exists.
What moves NCAAF prices
- Whether early-season numbers are still leaning on last year's roster
- Backup quarterback situations, which swing college lines harder than NFL ones
- Pace: college teams vary far more in plays per game, which drives totals
- Limits and line differences between books, which are widest in this sport
